For the first time, in Santiago del Estero, the creator of Polkadot and co-founder of Ethereum arrives at the Forum Convention Centre to speak on Blockchain for governance and public trust.

In the context of a series of public talks on blockchain, innovation, decentralised finance and the future of Web3, the city of Santiago del Estero will welcome, tomorrow, Thursday 20 November, Dr. Gavin Wood, creator of Polkadot and co-founder of Ethereum, to speak on one of the central themes of his global agenda: blockchain as a new social contract and opportunity for growth.
From 15:10 the keynote conference will begin, delivered by Dr. Gavin Wood, creator of the technical and philosophical foundations that enabled the emergence of modern blockchains and the decentralised economy that today transforms financial systems, public institutions and models of global interaction.
Wood created the core technology of Ethereum in 2013, where he designed the protocol architecture and wrote the Ethereum Yellow Paper, which drove the expansion of the Web3 ecosystem, characterised by a new stage of the internet with data sovereignty, cooperation between systems and the elimination of intermediaries.
In 2016 he founded Polkadot, a decentralised public infrastructure representing a new technological generation that, unlike traditional blockchains, can scale, interoperate and support the critical functions of a modern state. It is the only protocol currently in existence capable of putting a Nation On-Chain, allowing public services, citizen registries, financial systems, social programmes and coordination infrastructures to function on an open, verifiable and sovereign network.
He is also founder and CEO of Parity Technologies, a leading company in free software for decentralised infrastructures, from which he is currently driving the transition towards JAM (Join-Accumulate Machine), a new computational architecture that redefines how digital systems cooperate, offering a more efficient, adaptable and secure model for public and private applications.
The sessions will be free and open to all, with limited capacity on a first-come, first-served basis, open to students, professionals, entrepreneurs and the general public, who will be able to access talks, workshops and cutting-edge panels featuring the world’s most advanced technologies.
