Cryptographer and computer scientist who spent over two and a half years as a Research Scientist at Web3 Foundation, concurrently serving as Head of the Blockchain Lab and the Information Systems Lab at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He now holds a Professorship at Lucerne, where his research continues to focus on building secure and scalable distributed systems.
His particular interests span blockchain, multi-party computation, consensus, peer-to-peer networks, and provable composable security. Before his time in Zug and Lucerne, Chen-Da held postdoctoral fellowships in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University and in the Cryptography and Information Security Laboratory at NTT Research.
Chen-Da completed his PhD and master’s degree in Computer Science at ETH Zürich, building the research foundation that now underpins his work on secure distributed systems.
